Hosted by the Smart City Consortium with support from the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government the Learning and Teaching Expo (held between 2-4 July 2025) ran with the theme Education: A Shared Future for All — focusing on unity and empowerment through learning. As a participant in the event Development Bureau were keen to promote the learning and development function of its development projects. URBIS Director Alan Macdonald was invited as a guest of the Bureau to explain, with specific reference to the Kai Tak Development Project (KTDP), the educational benefits of such projects and the skill sets required to realise major development projects. Alan attended the opening ceremony and was on hand to answer questions on the master planning of the KTDP and the means that were employed to ensure that planning and design parameters were applied and adhered to.
